UO Pre-Medical Scholarship

The Pre-Medical Scholarships are awarded to outstanding undergraduate students pursuing a career in medicine, with the intent of enrolling in medical school. Applicants will be considered for all four of the following scholarships:

John Fielding Ambrose Medical Scholarship
John Jay & Corabelle Rogers Memorial Scholarship
Minnie Morden Pre-Medical Scholarship
William and Marjorie Shearon Memorial Scholarship

Please note:

  • Financial need is a selection criteria for only one of the four scholarships
  • Incoming first-year students are not eligible for this scholarship
  • The review committee will also take into consideration academics and extracurricular involvement
  • This is a competitive scholarship and often students who have completed a significant amount of pre-medical coursework and developed a well-rounded resume are most competitive for this award
