George Weyrens Scholarship

Created by the late George Weyrens, who worked as a night custodian at the University of Oregon from 1968 to 1987, the Weyrens Scholarship provides scholarships for Facilities Services employees within Campus Planning and Facilities Management (CPFM) or their family members to further their education in whatever field of interest they would like to pursue at the University of Oregon.

Applicants for the 2023-24 scholarship must be currently admitted to the University of Oregon and enrolled in UO classes during the 2023-24 academic year.

Applicants for this award must establish that they themselves are employed by University of Oregon Facilities Services within Campus Planning and Facilities Management (CPFM) or they are a member of the immediate family of a Facilities Services employee. Selection for this award is competitive and will be based on a number of factors, including past academic performance and quality of the written statements. Financial need is also considered in the selection process. The number of awards and individual scholarship amounts will be determined by the selection committee.
